Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Nigerian Government and the Department of State Services, DSS, of trying to kill its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.<\/p>\n

The spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, lamented that Kanu is battling a heart problem and mineral deficiencies which requires a specialist.<\/p>\n

Powerful stressed that the situation where the DSS has refused to provide food and medications for Kanu is a \u201csystematic\u201d method of killing their leader.<\/p>\n

Recall that Kanu\u2019s Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, had raised the alarm over the agitator\u2019s well-being in DSS detention.<\/p>\n

Ejimakor said the DSS refused to feed Kanu for nine days and provide him with his medications.<\/p>\n

Powerful, therefore, charged the Nigerian Government to release Kanu so he could get proper medical attention.<\/p>\n

A statement by Powerful reads: \u201cThe Nigerian Government has deliberately planned to eliminate Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU, who is illegally detained in DSS solitary confinement.<\/p>\n

\u201cKanu is battling heart problems and some mineral deficiencies which require medical specialists\u2019 attention, but the Nigeria government have refused to release him as Nigerian courts ordered, nor have they allowed him access to his personal physicians.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead, they have resorted to patronizing roadside pharmacies for his drug, which we see as a systematic and gradual diminishing and killing of his life and final elimination method.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe, the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), therefore, call on the Nigeria government to release KANU immediately if they can\u2019t afford his medications and food.\u201d<\/p>\n
