Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>FIFA is investigating how the Turkish chef, Salt Bae, gained \u201cundue access\u201d to Argentina\u2019s on-pitch celebrations after the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Bae, whose real name is Nusret Gokce, posted different photos of himself with the FIFA World Cup trophy on social media after Argentina\u2019s final win over France.<\/p>\n

He was also seen trying to pose for a photo with Argentina captain Lionel Messi and several La Albiceleste teammates.<\/p>\n

His presence following the trophy presentation is now the subject of a FIFA investigation after attracting widespread criticism.<\/p>\n

A widely reported statement from world football\u2019s governing body read: \u201cFollowing a review, FIFA has been establishing how individuals gained undue access to the pitch after the closing ceremony at Lusail Stadium on December 18. The appropriate internal action will be taken.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Bae posted an image on Instagram of himself at a 2022 World Cup match alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino and Brazil legends Ronaldo, Cafu and Roberto Carlos.<\/p>\n
