The deceased and her family were heading home after Christmas Day shopping.<\/p>\n<p>A statement on Wednesday by Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi said the IGP was waiting for the detailed report on the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson said the recommendation for the suspension of the officer is in line with the internal disciplinary processes of the Force.<\/p>\n<p>Adejobi noted that the development would create an enabling environment for necessary legal procedures to uphold justice in the case without interference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe suspension is without prejudice to the constitutional presumption of innocence in favour of the officer,\u201d the PRO added.<\/p>\n<p>The police assured the public of its commitment to ensuring that justice is done and appealed to the public to be calm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
