Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A group, The Natives, has called on the Department of State Security, DSS, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, to fish-out oil marketers and other saboteurs responsible for petroleum scarcity across the country.<\/p>\n

The group in a statement issued on Sunday by its President General, Smart Edwards, said saboteurs among marketers and distributors have deliberately caused the scarcity.<\/p>\n

It described as \u2018politically motivated\u2019 the current fuel queue and hardship Nigerians are going through as a result of fuel scarcity.<\/p>\n

It noted that Nigerians should hold some players in the oil sector responsible for sabotaging the efforts of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, even as they unilaterally implement unapproved fuel prices.<\/p>\n

The group strongly condemned the scare and conducts of players that are leading to price hike and queues as politically-motivated, saying the masses are at the receiving end.<\/p>\n

It said: \u201cNigerians are tired of hearing about turnaround maintenance year in, year out that leads to non-functional refineries in the country.<\/p>\n
