{"id":82086,"date":"2023-02-08T13:55:40","date_gmt":"2023-02-08T12:55:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/ogun-to-revisit-creative-arts-village-as-indigenes-in-diaspora-return-home"},"modified":"2023-02-08T15:16:16","modified_gmt":"2023-02-08T14:16:16","slug":"ogun-to-revisit-creative-arts-village-as-indigenes-in-diaspora-return-home","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/ogun-to-revisit-creative-arts-village-as-indigenes-in-diaspora-return-home","title":{"rendered":"Ogun to revisit Creative Arts Village as indigenes in Diaspora return home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced that the state government would be revisiting arrangements to establish a multi-purpose creative and entertainment village in the state, with an intention to partner with a Special Purpose Vehicle Organisation, Banks and artistes, in order for the vision to become a reality.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining that the project would change the face of entertainment and tourism sector in the country, the governor, who spoke when some indigenes of the State operating their businesses outside the State paid him a courtesy call on Tuesday, said the Creative Arts and Entertainment Village will be located along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.<\/p>\n<p>The leader of the team, Mr. Tobi Fletcher, told reporters that the group is made up of indigenes of the state who have made their marks in their respective chosen professions.<\/p>\n<p>Fletcher, Founder of Ofadaboy led others like Olufemi Oguntamu CEO Penzaarville; Oluwatobi Ajayi , Chairman NORD Motion; Broda Shaggi, Comedian; Seun Ajayi, an Actor; Bamike Adenibuyan, another Actor\/Entrepreneur; Anidugbe Mofoluwato Uthman, Vice President Fly Boy Inc and Funmi Mustapha,<\/p>\n<p>Media and communications Professional.<\/p>\n<p>Also, in the group are, Olawale Ayilara, and rave entertainer Adedimeji Lateef.<\/p>\n<p>According to Fletcher, \u201cwe are young professionals who are indigenes of the state in different fields who want to come home and invest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of us have done well in our chosen careers and we want to come back and contribute our quotas to make our state great. We have experts in various fields such as education, arts and technology. One of us is a food-preneur that runs the biggest food festival around. We also have real estate professionals among us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have actors and actresses and others across various fields. We are based in different parts of the country; but we decided to come back home in what we call \u201cthe home calling\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the group with over 50 members that cut across those living in Nigeria and abroad are planning to establish studios for film making, just as they are also discussing with NORD Motors to set up their facility in the state, which according to him, would provide employment for the youths.<\/p>\n<p>The group also plan to mentor would-be entrepreneurs to bolster the status of the state as the country\u2019s industrial capital.<\/p>\n<p>Also speaking, Bamike Olawunmi popularly known as \u2018Bam Bam\u2019, said the group was passionate about giving back to the state as many of them have done well for themselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOgun State has produced some of the best governors, presidents, entertainers, actors and these people have gone out to do great for themselves and the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur desire is to bring everybody together to make Ogun State the home of entertainment in arts, music, agriculture, fashion and much more.
