Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has urged Nigerians to enthrone visionary and honest leaders to address Nigeria\u2019s problems, including insecurity and corruption, ahead of the 2023 election.<\/p>\n

Uzodinma stated this in a lecture delivered at the National Defence College (NDC) with the theme \u201cNational Security, Strategic Leadership and Development: My Political Experience\u201d on Friday in Abuja.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cThe trouble with Nigeria is leadership. In less than two weeks, Nigerians will have the opportunity to make the choice of who\u2019ll deepen the visionary strides we\u2019ve seen in the last seven and half years as has been provided by President Muhammadu Buhari.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cWhat Nigeria needs is that strategic leader who\u2019s honest, accountable, knowledgeable and visionary, with uncommon patriotism and love of country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe presence of these attributes in a leader will dismantle the roadblocks of ethnicity, religious bigotry and corruption.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 2023 general election is just less than ten days.<\/p>\n

The presidential candidates for Nigeria\u2019s general elections in 2023 include Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of All Progressives Congress (APC); Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Peter Obi of Labour Party (LP); Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP); and Professor Peter Umeadi of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).<\/p>\n

Others are Omoyele Sowore of Africa Action Congress (AAC); Prince Malik Ado-Ibrahim of Young Progressive Party (YPP); Professor Christopher Imumulen of Accord Party (AP); Kola Abiola of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP); Prince Adewole Adebayo of Social Democratic Party (SDP); Yusuf Mamman Dan Talle of Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Dumebi Kachikwu of African Democratic Congress (ADC).<\/p>\n
