{"id":83730,"date":"2023-03-04T22:11:13","date_gmt":"2023-03-04T21:11:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/gunmen-kidnap-taraba-monarchs-two-wives-son"},"modified":"2023-03-04T23:15:44","modified_gmt":"2023-03-04T22:15:44","slug":"gunmen-kidnap-taraba-monarchs-two-wives-son","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/gunmen-kidnap-taraba-monarchs-two-wives-son","title":{"rendered":"Gunmen kidnap Taraba monarch\u2019s two wives, son"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Taraba State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of the two wives of the traditional ruler of Sarkin Kudu, Dansalama Adamu, in Ibi local government council of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Kidnapped alongside the wives, is a son of the monarch.<\/p>\n<p>Their whereabouts were still unknown as at the time this report was written.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the report on Saturday in Jalingo, the state capital, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Usman Abdullahi, said the incident occurred on Friday in Ibi.<\/p>\n<p>Some suspects, as made known by him, have been arrested in connection with the \u201cFriday night\u2019s abduction in Ibi local government.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said the arrested suspects are presently assisting the police with useful information that will lead to the arrest of other suspects.<\/p>\n<p>The police, according to him, are leaving no stone unturned in order to rescue the victims unhurt.<\/p>\n<p>The unknown gunmen, as gathered by our state correspondent, stormed the premises of the monarch in the Serkin Kudu community of the council when he was out of the house.<\/p>\n<p>The attack comes barely a month after the two wives and six children of the monarch of Mutum-Biyu in Gassol local government council of the state, were killed by their abductors in Taraba.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
