Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The General Commission of The Africa Road Builders \u2013 Trophe\u0301e Babacar NDIAYE has announced that the Inaugural Conference 2023 is scheduled for April 05, 2023, in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s conference is: \u201cSustainable mobility in Africa, lever of development\u201d.<\/p>\n

This was confirmed in a statement issued by The General Commissioner, CEO of ACTUROUTES, Barthelemy Kouame.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cThe choice of venue follows the tradition of this continental event which is in its 8th edition this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo this end, the General Commission expresses its deep gratitude to HE Samia Suluhu HASSAN, winner of the Super Prize Great Builder \u2013 Trophe\u0301e Babacar NDIAYE in 2022, who very early expressed the commitment of his government and his people to host the Inaugural Conference 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further stated that \u201cmore than 20 journalists, from all regions of the continent and forming the Selection Committee, will meet to designate the 2023 winner of the Super Prize Great Builder \u2013 Trophe\u0301e Babacar NDIAYE.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Inaugural Conference is also an opportunity to follow various communications on the road and transport in the host country. A visit to road and transport infrastructure by members of the Selection Committee is also planned.<\/p>\n

\u201cFinally, the Inaugural Conference aims to promote the host country and its leaders for the achievements recorded in road and transport.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Africa Road Builders \u2013 Trophe\u0301e Babacar NDIAYE was created in 2016, in tribute to Dr Babacar NDIAYE, 5th President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), from 1985 to 1995.<\/p>\n

The event is sponsored by the AfDB, the organisers said, saluting the President, Dr Akinwumi ADESINA, for his effective commitment to the development of roads and transport in Africa.<\/p>\n
