Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Ahead of Saturday\u2019s gubernatorial and state assembly elections in Kaduna State, the Assistant Commandant General Operation, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), Philip Ayuba has warned all officers and men of the corps deployed for the election not to involve themselves in a negative attitude that could dent the image of the corps.<\/p>\n

Ayuba gave the warning while addressing senior officers and men at the NSCDC state headquarters in Kaduna on Friday.<\/p>\n

According to him, officers should maintain integrity, be neutral so as to portray the image of the corps in such a way that their behavior, and conduct during the election would not only speak good for the corps, but portray the corps in good light.<\/p>\n

He further advised officers and men of the corps not to be used by any politician during the election, as any negative behaviour would cause embarrassment to the corps before international communities and observers monitoring the election.<\/p>\n

He advised officers deployed for elections to always learn to talk less, observant and never involve themselves in any discussion that would lead to conflict in their respective postings<\/p>\n

He further advised them to always communicate with their superiors, commandants who in turn, would relay to him any difficulty encountered during the operation.<\/p>\n

ACG Philip who is optimistic that none of the officers would be hurt during the election, noted that at the end of the election, the whole world would like to identify with the corps because of their exemplary service to the nation<\/p>\n

Also speaking, the Director of Administration, Ministry of Interior, Mohammed N. Abbas commended Ayuba for his fatherly and professional advice.<\/p>\n

He expressed delight that with the candid advice of the ACG coupled with the intellectual input of the NSCDC management team, the corps would be rated best after the election<\/p>\n

He called on all officers to conduct themselves in an orderly manner, so that they would not be found wanting as election observers, media and several others would be monitoring the polls.<\/p>\n
