Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has predicted Chelsea to qualify for the Champions League quarter-final stage ahead of Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

Chelsea and Real Madrid will clash in the Champions League last-8 in April.<\/p>\n

Both teams were drawn to face each other during the Champions League quarter-finals draws on Friday.<\/p>\n

However, Merson expects Chelsea to advance to the semi-final ahead of Real Madrid, insisting that the Premier League giants are dangerous.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey have got good players,\u201d Merson told Sky Sports. \u201cYou look at the team last week and he\u2019s gone three at the back. He\u2019s gone solid at the back and I have got a lot of talent going forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you go three at the back, believe it or not, you get more players getting forward because you have got the two wing-backs, you\u2019ve got Kovacic who can bomb forward and then you have three in front of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd that is three from seven he\u2019s got so much to choose from. It\u2019s about getting it right every week.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are dangerous. I think Chelsea are a dangerous, dangerous football team. The Champions League draw is not kind, but I expect them to beat Real Madrid over two legs.\u201d<\/p>\n
