Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A combined team of police officers from the Lagos State Command and Department of State Services, DSS, has arrested Fredrick Nwajagu, the Eze Igbo of Ajao Estate in the state.<\/p>\n

The security team arrested Nwajagu for inviting the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, into Lagos State.<\/p>\n

Nwajagu had invited IPOB members to Lagos State to help secure properties belonging to Igbos in the state.<\/p>\n

In a 49-second video, Nwajagu said the call became necessary following the attacks on Igbo people in the state.<\/p>\n

Markets, mostly populated by Igbos, have been targeted by unknown arsonists during and after the general elections.<\/p>\n

Following his call, Nwajagu was arrested by the combined security team at a hotel in Ejigbo.<\/p>\n

Reacting, the spokesman of Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin said the command would not fold its arms and allow such in the state.<\/p>\n

In a tweet, Hundeyin wrote: \u201cTo start with, the ever-ready @LagosPoliceNG will never fold its arms and allow such within the state.\u201d<\/p>\n
