Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Armed men suspected to be kidnappers have attacked the Christian Pentecostal Church in Akenawe -Tswarev community, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, killing one worshipper while the resident pastor and three others were whisked away.<\/p>\n

The attack was carried out by the assailants during a vigil on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

The resident pastor, who was identified as Gwadue Kwaghtyo, was reportedly leading prayer when the gunmen invaded the church and opened fire on worshippers.<\/p>\n

Chairman of Logo LGA, Mrs Salome Tor confirmed the ugly incident to journalists on Sunday.<\/p>\n

According to him, \u201cIt was early this morning (still night hours). A church in one of the branches went for a vigil. As they were praying, they were surrounded by the armed men.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey kidnapped three people, killed one boy and injured two people with a machete; they are now in the hospital\u201d.<\/p>\n
