Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Confederation of African Football (CAF) will inspect the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, to check renovation works done on the ground.<\/p>\n

Rivers United were barred from using the ground for their group stage games as it didn\u2019t meet the required standards to host international matches.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian champions played all their home games in the group stage at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.<\/p>\n

The Pride of Rivers are keen to get CAF\u2019s approval to host the first leg of their quarter-final tie against Young Boys of Tanzania at home.<\/p>\n

The encounter is scheduled for Sunday, April 23.<\/p>\n

Renovation works have been carried out at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in recent weeks.<\/p>\n
