Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A contender for the Speakership position of the 10th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Muktar Betera Aliyu, was in a closed-door meeting with the President-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to seek his support and endorsement.<\/p>\n

The member representing Biu\/Bayo\/Shani and Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency of Borno State has been canvassing support for his speakership aspiration with party members, House of Reps members-elect, former lawmakers and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n

In a video made available by his media office on Wednesday morning, Tinubu held Betara\u2019s hand as he led him into the inner room for discussions.<\/p>\n

Betera\u2019s consultation visit to the President-elect took place at his new official residence at the Defence House in Abuja, following the latter\u2019s return from vacation and the Muslim lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

Also seen in the video alongside Betara were the outgoing Senate President, Sen. Ahmad Lawan; former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi; and other loyalists of the President-elect.<\/p>\n
