Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu, has described himself as the best candidate to emerge as the next Senate President.<\/p>\n

This was as he disclosed that he was the best candidate to work with the President-elect, Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

Kalu disclosed this after a closed-door meeting with Tinubu in Abuja yesterday.<\/p>\n

The senator said he has the capacity to unite Nigeria if elected as Senate President.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am the best among the candidates. I have the capacity to unite Nigeria, and I am the best to work with our President-elect for the best interest of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have the integrity, honesty, and experience to lead the Senate\u201d, Kalu said.<\/p>\n

There has been a clamour for the Southeast to produce the Senate President in the 10th National Assembly.<\/p>\n

But, some relevant stakeholders in the Southeast are agitating for Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State to emerge as Senate President.<\/p>\n

Amid the clamour, the Northwest has also been pinned as one of the zones likely to produce the Senate President.<\/p>\n
