Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>No major upset was recorded as more Round of 64 matches were played in the 2023 Nigeria Federation Cup on Thursday.<\/p>\n

In the biggest fixture of the day, Akwa United defeated Wikki Tourists 1-0 at the UNEC Stadium, Enugu.<\/p>\n

Liman Ahmadu stabbed home the decisive goal three minutes before the half-hour mark after Abbey Benson\u2019s initial effort was cleared off the line.<\/p>\n

At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, Kwara United defeated Gateway United 4-2 on penalties.<\/p>\n

The game ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time.<\/p>\n

Olajide Mustapha gave Gateway United the lead with a stunning strike two minutes after the break. But experienced Samad Kadiri equalised for Kwara United courtesy of a fine free kick on 67 minutes.<\/p>\n

Kwara United gained the upper hand in the shootout scoring four of their spot kicks, while Gateway United netted twice.<\/p>\n

Plateau United also sealed their passage into the next round following a comprehensive 3-0 win against non-league club, Jama United.<\/p>\n
