Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has denied reports that its members burnt down the house of the late Ohanaeze Ndigbo, George Obiozor.<\/p>\n

Reacting to a claim by the Ohanaeze Vice President-General, Ogene Okeke, IPOB said its members are not terrorists or hoodlums that would burn down Obiozor\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

A statement by IPOB\u2019s spokesman, Emma Powerful, said the group never had any confrontation with Obiozor when he was alive, hence can\u2019t attack his property.<\/p>\n

According to Powerful: \u201cWe the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra led by Mazi Nnamdi KANU take great exception to the unguarded and concocted statement credited to one old man claiming to be speaking for the Ohaneze Ndigbo as their Vice President General.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst and foremost, IPOB members are neither hoodlums nor terrorists and do not burn people\u2019s houses or attack Biafrans even at the highest level of provocation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIPOB didn\u2019t burn Late Prof. Obiozor\u2019s country home. Neither late Obiozor nor his family has ever accused IPOB of those atrocities.<\/p>\n

\u201cIPOB and ESN operatives were never in any confrontation with the late Prof. George Obiozor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Powerful wondered why the \u201cdisciplined IPOB members\u201d would burn down Obiozor\u2019s house when he never had any confrontation with the group.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to ask Ogene Okeke what his relationship with Professor George Obiozor before death struck him? This man was not in contact with Obiozor before he died,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Powerful charged Ogene to stop using IPOB\u2019s name for his political business because such actions would come with its consequences.<\/p>\n
