{"id":8788,"date":"2019-04-20T15:53:38","date_gmt":"2019-04-20T15:53:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=8788"},"modified":"2019-04-20T15:53:38","modified_gmt":"2019-04-20T15:53:38","slug":"ngolo-kante-reveals-what-chelsea-must-do-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/ngolo-kante-reveals-what-chelsea-must-do-now","title":{"rendered":"N\u2019Golo Kante reveals what Chelsea must do now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chelsea midfielder, N\u2019Golo Kante, has advised the club to prioritise Premier League top-four finish ahead of the Europa League final.<\/p>\n<p>Chelsea are currently in fifth position on the Premier League table with 66 points from 34 games.<\/p>\n<p>The Blues are also in the Europa League semi-final after defeating Slavia in the quarter-final second leg encounter on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Maurizio Sarri\u2019s men will tackle Eintracht Frankfurt in Europa League semi-final tie next month but Kante wants the West London club to first go for fourth place finish in the English top-flight league.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking ahead of Chelsea\u2019s Premier League against Burnley on Monday, Kante was quoted by Mirror UK as saying: \u201cThe Europa League final is a target for the club and us, and it\u2019s what we will try to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are three games away from the Premier League title but we need first to go for fourth and then do our best.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSlavia was an important game for us, it was important to win and qualify and we did the job. We are happy with the win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe second half was a bit difficult. They scored two beautiful goals but, in the end, we went through and that\u2019s the most important thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a good feeling to be three goals up so early but we knew they were a good team with good fighting spirit because it\u2019s what we felt away in the first game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey did very well in the second half and it was difficult but to score three goals in the first half was very good.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chelsea midfielder, N\u2019Golo Kante, has advised the club to prioritise Premier League top-four finish ahead of the Europa League final.
