Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has said the club can raise \u00a3100million by selling four players this summer.<\/p>\n

Ferdinand listed the players as Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial and Anthony Elanga.<\/p>\n

United manager, Erik ten Hag, is looking to add to his squad this summer with Harry Kane and Mason Mount seen as top targets.<\/p>\n

There are speculations that Ten Hag will only have \u00a3100m to spend in the transfer window.<\/p>\n

But Ferdinand believes the club can raise more funds through player sales.<\/p>\n

\u201cScott McTominay hasn\u2019t played much football, not as much as he would like.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I was him as a young player I would probably start assessing that situation and start having real hard conversations with the club [asking] do you see me as part of it or not.<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry Maguire has to look at a new option for himself. Unless he says he\u2019s happy to be third or fourth choice. Elanga maybe [is another], he is not getting a chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cMartial has proved that he can\u2019t stay fit. I think if you got rid of those four, there is a \u00a3100million sitting there. Elanga isn\u2019t getting the football he deserves.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe did well when he came in and still isn\u2019t getting a chance. Big players in front of him but he wants to be playing first team football.\u201d<\/p>\n
