Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Finidi George has stated that he remains the first assistant to Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro.<\/p>\n

There were rumours that the winger has been shown the exit door by the Nigeria Football Federation.<\/p>\n

Finidi, who also doubles as head coach of Nigeria Premier League outfit, Enyimba, was absent in the Super Eagles\u2019 last outings against Guinea-Bissau.<\/p>\n

The former Ajax player, however, stated he is still with the national team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m still the first assistant to Jose Peseiro and will come next week. I think the camp opens for the players to come. And I think I\u2019ll be there if things don\u2019t get twisted,\u201d Finidi told a radio programme, Sports Salsa.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut first thing first, let me finish this duty with Enyimba, and if things go well, I will be in camp.\u201d<\/p>\n
