Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State has decorated 155 of its officers who were newly promoted into various ranks.<\/p>\n

The NSCDC Commandant in Ogun, Idowu Ojelabi, decorated the officers in Abeokuta, the state capital.<\/p>\n

According to him, the promoted officers of the corps included those who had been stagnant for years without progression.<\/p>\n

Ojelabi commended the NSCDC Commandant-General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for the prompt promotion of officers, especially the \u201cpromotion of officers that have been stagnant on certain ranks, nationwide.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor instance, in Ogun State Command, we graciously have a total of 155 personnel that were elevated from one rank to another, including those who have been stagnant for a while.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the NSCDC boss did his best to assuage the long-time suffering of stagnant officers through rejuvenating the promotion process and conducting credible screening and examination.<\/p>\n

He called on the newly promoted senior officers in Ogun State command to reciprocate the gesture by rising to the responsibilities of their new ranks.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should ensure you work professionally to further cement the positive perception already enjoyed by the Corps in the Gateway State,\u201d he charged.<\/p>\n
