Nigeria\u2019s President, Muhammadu Buhari has expressed happiness with the level of development in Borno State despite the crises of Boko Haram.<\/p>\n
The president stated this on Thursday, during a one-day visit to commission projects executed under Kashim Shettima administration.<\/p>\n
Buhari said he was particularly impressed with development in the education sector as well as industrial, health, agricultural and road projects, which he commissioned today in Maiduguri.<\/p>\n
He also expressed hope that the orphaned children for which some of the projects he commissioned were made for will surely get quality education and brighter future.<\/p>\n
The President also said, the federal government was aware that the state government had sponsored some Chibok abducted schoolgirls into various secondary and tertiary institutions both within and outside Nigeria to acquire standard and quality education.<\/p>\n
He also appreciated the people of Borno for their concern for him and commended them further for their loyalty to his administration.<\/p>\n
Buhari reassured the people of Borno of his continued support to the state and restoration of peace.<\/p>\n
In his remark, Governor Kashim Shettima said without the support and concern of President Buhari in the past four years of his administration, Borno state could have been a history by now.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cAll that have been achieved in the state including relative peace and growth could not have been achieved in the state without the support of President Buhari.\u201d<\/p>\n
Shettima further appreciated the support and fatherly role played by the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Garbai Ibn El Kanemi in the restoration of peace in the state and the north east as a whole.<\/p>\n
According to him, Borno people are indeed highly indebted to Mr. President for his support and concern while appreciating the royal father for his royal blessing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
