Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Minority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Lukmon Adeleye, has urged Nigerians never to lose hope over the hardship they are facing.<\/p>\n

Instead, he appealed to them to be more committed to embracing peace and having the will to sacrifice for the good of the nation.<\/p>\n

He stated this in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslims across the globe, a copy of which was made available on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Adeleye observed that the Nigerian masses are currently going through tough times, especially with the removal of fuel subsidy.<\/p>\n

According to him, the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir focus on sacrifice and hope, saying, \u201cwe all must be willing to sacrifice and allow peace if any tangible development must be achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n

The lawmaker opined that \u201cdevelopment cannot take place in an atmosphere of rancour or feud,\u201d stressing that \u201cwe need peace to be able to move forward and grow. Let\u2019s work in unity and love to be able to serve our people well.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that, \u201cEid, with its focus on harmony, mutual respect and understanding, is a befitting occasion to affirm these qualities, and celebrate the values that make us who we are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adeleye, representing Odogbolu State Constituency, felicitated Muslims even as he prayed that all would be well with Nigeria and Ogun State.<\/p>\n

He prayed and wished all his constituents a blessed Eid celebration, saying, \u201cmay all the peace and fulfillment of Eid be ours.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also urged all the people of the Odogbolu community to celebrate in peace and be each other\u2019s keepers while celebrating in moderation.<\/p>\n

Adeleye implored security agencies to be up and doing to ensure adequate security and protection during and after the festival.<\/p>\n
