Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Three individuals linked to the brutal murder of a naval officer in Idoani community, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, have been arrested by the State Police Command.<\/p>\n

The suspects were apprehended in different parts of the community following attempts to escape shortly after perpetrating the crime.<\/p>\n

The naval officer lost his life when he was struck with an iron rod by the suspects following a dispute with a commercial motorcyclist.<\/p>\n

The State\u2019s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Fumilayo Omisanya, disclosed the arrest of the suspects, saying the three other individuals involved in the naval officer\u2019s murder are currently being tracked.<\/p>\n

The PPRO stated, \u201cThanks to the prompt action of our officers, three of the suspects have been apprehended.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe remaining three individuals connected to the naval officer\u2019s killing are presently on the run.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, I can assure you that they will also be arrested and held accountable for their actions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Idoani had a few days ago been engulfed in tension when a group of six persons murdered a naval officer attached to the Navy School in Imeri.<\/p>\n

In response to this incident, a significant number of military personnel arrived in the community to arrest the individuals involved in the officer\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Due to the fear of being arrested, numerous young men in the community fled the area while other residents expressed concerns about possible reprisals from the deceased officer\u2019s comrades.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the community has remained deserted as people are afraid of further arrests by security operatives who have remained in the area.<\/p>\n
