Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has expressed regret that he contested the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary election against President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

Akpabio said he would not have contested the primary election against Tinubu if he knew the plans the president had for Nigeria.<\/p>\n

Speaking in Lagos State, Akpabio noted that the state was a development model for other states in the country.<\/p>\n

According to Akpabio: \u201cWith what the president has done in Lagos, we are assured that Nigeria is in safe hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t know this was the plan you had for the country; we wouldn\u2019t have contested with you at the party primaries.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese few decisions you have taken have served as a catalyst for the country\u2019s development.\u201d<\/p>\n
