Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, has insisted on her demand for an independent technology investigation over the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, result saga between the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, and Mmesoma Ejikeme.<\/p>\n

Ezekwesili confirmed that the JAMB Registrar, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, contacted her on phone but claimed the call dropped.<\/p>\n

She had earlier disclosed she reached out to Oloyede, demanding an independent investigation.<\/p>\n

However, following JAMB\u2019s statement on Tuesday claiming it had already concluded its investigation of Mmesoma\u2019s alleged forged result, the former minister said her demand remains.<\/p>\n

In a statement via her verified Twitter handle on Wednesday, Ezekwesili said she is interested in JAMB answering some questions in order to clarify the confusion in the public space.<\/p>\n

She wrote, \u201cProfessor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of @JAMBHQ did reach out back from Namibia, but his call dropped.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy call for an Independent Technology Investigation still stands.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am interested in having a number of questions answered by the Exam Body to clarify the confusion in the public space on the JAMB-Mmesoma Saga.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat really are the facts of the action that produced the Result-Slip that Mmesoma is insisting she received?<\/p>\n

\u201cCan the public be availed the User-Journey of Mmesoma?<\/p>\n

\u201cIs this kind of a tech-enabled double-result unique to her or experienced by any other candidates of JAMB exams?<\/p>\n

\u201cIs a Comprehensive Systems Check not key for JAMB in situations like this, and has such been done?<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is the nature of the interface between the JAMB system\/database and the Center where she sat for her exam as well as results verification?<\/p>\n

\u201cCould this case not help JAMB trace any issues that can impair its systems and architecture for exam integrity?<\/p>\n

\u201cI am glad that the public is invested in knowing the truth on this saga because Exam Integrity is core to the global trust of countries and their citizens by others and widely publicized cases like this should be learning opportunity for all, including the exam body.<\/p>\n

\u201cI reiterate that an Independent Technology Investigation is critical for helping us all know the truth of this case, including the role of all the parties involved, so that the right and just redressing can be made.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrust in our public institutions like @JAMBHQ that record the facts of individual effort and performance is key for our country.<\/p>\n

\u201cTherefore for all reasonable citizens, this matter is rightly important that it be resolved appropriately.\u201d<\/p>\n
