Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Adetunji Ajayi, a 62-year-old physically challenged man has been hacked to death at his residence in IMasayi, Yewa-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.<\/p>\n

The man, was cut to pieces Wednesday by unknown assailants who may have broken into his apartment after members of his family went out for their daily activities.<\/p>\n

The Ogun State police confirmed the incident, saying the killers would not go scot-free.<\/p>\n

The police spokesperson in Ogun, Omolola Odutola, explained that the victim was macheted to death around 3pm on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

According to her, the family met his butchered body in a pool of blood when they returned from work.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe command received the report of macheting to death of one Adetunji Ayaji, 62 years, where unknown assailants gained entrance into the home of the deceased and murdered him,\u201d Odutola confirmed.<\/p>\n

She said that the victim\u2019s mobile line was taken away by his assassins.<\/p>\n

Odutola disclosed that the body of the victim had been evacuated to the General Hospital in Ilaro for further examination.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ogun State Police Command has no firm lead about the reason behind this extreme viciousness,\u201d Odutola stated, adding that the Ogun Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, condemned the act, assuring that the killers \u201cwill regret their actions and justice will be done.\u201d<\/p>\n
