Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>England forward, Lauren James, has come under fire for stepping on Nigeria\u2019s Super Eagles defender Michelle Alozie during both teams\u2019 2023 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 tie on Monday.<\/p>\n

A cross-section of fans on Twitter has reacted to James getting sent off for stepping on Alozie, with some not happy with the Chelsea star\u2019s behaviour, while others urged her to apologise.<\/p>\n

The last-16 tie between the Super Falcons and the Lionesses was a goalless stalemate, with the game going to penalties.<\/p>\n

England won the shootout 4-2, but James, however, was sent off before the end of the 90 minutes as she was given marching orders in the 87th minute.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old will miss England\u2019s next three matches as a result of the red card.<\/p>\n

However, here are some Twitter reactions gathered by DAILY POST after James was sent off during England\u2019s tie against Nigeria:<\/p>\n
