Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal Government has ordered the removal of \u201cAll Eyes on the Judiciary\u201d billboards nationwide.<\/p>\n

The government also dissolved the Adver\u00adtising Standard Panel (ASP) secretariat over its approval of the advert.<\/p>\n

Dr Olalekan Fadolepo, the Director-General of the Adver\u00adtising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, an\u00adnounced this in a statement on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

According to him, the advert is insensitive and pending before the Judiciary.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Advertis\u00ading Standards Panel did not approve the exposed concepts; hence, the council has directed that all the exposed materials be brought down immediately and the violators sanctioned\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The \u201cALL Eyes on the Judiciary\u201d advert comes amid anxiety as Nigerians await the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.<\/p>\n

The candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party\u2019s Peter Obi, challenged the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu\u2019s victory in the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n
