Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has charged new commissioners in the state to be diligent, loyal and sacrifice, to promote good governance and service delivery in the state.<\/p>\n

Buni gave the charge in Damaturu, on Saturday while swearing in 20 newly-appointed commissioners to serve in the state executive council.<\/p>\n

\u201cl am sure you are conscious of the task that awaits you, as we shall be taking critical decisions for and on behalf of our people, with a sense of commitment to implement our people-oriented policies and programmes to accelerate the development of our dear state, upon which we secured the people\u2019s mandate for a second term of office, at the 2023 governorship election.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll files must go through the approved channels for proper documentation. Similarly, government files and documents must not be released to unauthorized persons, \u201c the governor warned .<\/p>\n

Buni also cautioned the new commissioners against sabotage, diversion and waste of scarce resources.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou are strongly advised to be prudent and transparent in executing projects and programmes placed under your trust\u201d, he charged.<\/p>\n

Gov. Buni then announced the portfolios of each commissioner as follows:<\/p>\n

\u201cAli Mustapha Goniri \u2013 Ministry of Agriculture; Ya Jalo Badama \u2013 Ministry of Women Affairs; Alh. Aji Yerima Bularafa \u2013 Ministry of Wealth Creation; Hon. Musa Mustapha \u2013 Ministry of Transport and Energy; Ahmed Buba Abba Kyari \u2013 Ministry of Housing; Engr. Usman Ahmed \u2013 Minister of Water Resources; Mohammed Abatcha Gaidam \u2013 Ministry of Finance; Kaigama Umar Yunusari \u2013 Ministry of Commerce; Alh. Ibrahim Adamu Jajere \u2013 Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Yusuf Umar Potiskum \u2013 Ministry of Religious Affairs; Barr. Saleh Samanja \u2013 Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice and Prof. Mohammed Bello Kawuwa \u2013 Higher Education;<\/p>\n

Umar Wakil Dudaye \u2013 Commissioner of Works; Abdullahi Bego \u2013 Home Affairs, Information and Culture; Dr. Mairo Amshi \u2013 Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management; Hon.
