Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has stated that in a bid to find solutions to the common setbacks the state is encountering, citizens should view developmental setbacks as tools to resolution of societal problems.<\/p>\n

Adeleke also maintained that the collective focus of the citizenry must be aimed at the implementation of key strategies for the state\u2019s sustained economic growth.<\/p>\n

The governor stated this as part of his address to the state on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the creation of Osun State on Sunday.<\/p>\n

These strategies he outlined included: \u201cStrengthening our transportation networks, energy systems, and digital connectivity will attract investment, facilitate trade, and improve the overall quality of life for our citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cContinued emphasis on modernising our agricultural practices, supporting farmers with training and access to markets, will enhance food security and drive economic growth.<\/p>\n

\u201cNurturing a culture of learning and innovation through improved educational facilities and partnerships with research institutions will fuel the emergence of a knowledge-based economy.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeveraging our cultural heritage and natural beauty, we can develop sustainable tourism offerings that create jobs and stimulate local economies.<\/p>\n

\u201cProviding financial incentives, technical assistance, and access to markets for SMEs will foster entrepreneurship and diversify our economic base.<\/p>\n

\u201cImplementing eco-friendly policies and sustainable practices will not only protect our environment but also attract eco-conscious industries.<\/p>\n

\u201cCollaborating with the private sector to develop infrastructure projects, such as energy, transportation, and healthcare, can leverage resources and expertise for mutual benefit.\u201d<\/p>\n

The governor, who went down memory lane, revealed that Osun State has demonstrated its strength in various fields.<\/p>\n

\u201cOsun has been growing from strength to strength. We have achieved a lot under our five-point agenda on workers welfare, gratuities and pension; education, affordable health care, state and social security and human capital development has yielded a skilled workforce that contributes significantly to the growth of our state and the nation.<\/p>\n

He also added that his administration has embarked on the building of a digital ecosystem that deployed technology for development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are laying a strong foundation for tech driven industrial development. We seek to harness our huge academic potentials for state growth. We are working hard to upgrade our infrastructure. Our focus includes growing the state economy to generate jobs and build the commonwealth.\u201d<\/p>\n

While calling on the citizens of the state to see the anniversary of the state\u2019s creation as a reminder of their shared commitment to progress and development, Adeleke appealed for unwavering resolve to leave a legacy of prosperity for generations to come.<\/p>\n
