Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dele Momodu, on Tuesday said he would have expelled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike if he had the powers.<\/p>\n

Momodu said Wike was trying to destroy the former ruling party, hence should be expelled.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Channels Television\u2019s Political Paradigm programme, Momodu said: \u201cI don\u2019t have the power, if I had power I would have fired him (Wike) long ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Director of Strategic Communications for the Atiku\/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council, described Wike as unruly.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cSuch an unruly person who wants to destroy our party? One individual cannot hold everybody to ransom.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we fought the military, we fought the military in this country, Tinubu was part of those who fought the military in this country, and then you will now allow a civilian dictatorship?\u201d<\/p>\n

Wike has been at loggerheads with PDP\u2019s leadership prior to the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n

The minister had worked against PDP\u2019s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar while favouring President Bola Tinubu.<\/p>\n

Recently, Wike declared that nobody within the PDP can expel him from the party.<\/p>\n
