Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has assured that his administration will sustain the fight against banditry.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital, by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris.<\/p>\n

The Governor, who held a security council meeting on Tuesday, received briefings from all the heads of security agencies in the State.<\/p>\n

The statement read in parts: \u201cGovernor Dauda Lawal presided over the security council meeting as part of his government\u2019s resolve to prioritize the issue of security.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe received briefings from the heads of the security agencies on their collective efforts towards the fight against banditry.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Dauda called on the heads of the security to ensure the dislodgement of all the bandits\u2019 camp across the State.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added that the Zamfara Government was committed to ensuring the safety of lives and properties of people of the State.<\/p>\n

The Governor raised concern to the heads of the security agencies in the State on the activities of bandits in some areas, especially the Gusau to Funtua Road, Magami to Dangulbi, Dan Kurmi to Anka Road, as well as Magami to Dansadau Road.<\/p>\n

He further charged the heads of the military and police to deploy platforms and Armored Personnel Carrier vehicles to constantly patrol all the affected major roads.<\/p>\n
