Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Ogun State, on Thursday, said it has arrested and prosecuted the driver of a car moving with only three tyres.<\/p>\n

The Toyota Camry car was intercepted along the Abeokuta-Sagamu highway on September 4.<\/p>\n

The Corps Marshal had earlier ordered a total clampdown on rickety vehicles across the nation\u2019s roads.<\/p>\n

FRSC spokesperson, Florence Okpe, said the interception of the car with registration number, FFF 522 TK, was made by a patrol team of the FRSC, Ogun Sector Command, Abeokuta.<\/p>\n

Okpe disclosed that the driver was further \u201ccharged to court for driving a mechanically deficient vehicle.\u201d<\/p>\n

She stated that the enforcement against dangerous vehicles became intensified by the FRSC in Ogun after a recent video of a car moving with three tyres along the same Abeokuta-Sagamu road went viral.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the FRSC Sector Commander in Ogun, Anthony Uga, has charged motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations, urging them to shun acts that could jeopardize their safety and that of other road users.<\/p>\n
