Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, on Friday, condemned the recent attack on the Fadan Kamatan Parish, Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, located in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.<\/p>\n

A Catholic Seminarian, Naam Ngofe Danladi, was burnt to death when bandits attacked the residence of the Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, in Fadan Kamatan, Zangon Kataf on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Expressing outrage at the killings, Governor Sani vowed to track down the perpetrators of the heinous crime and ensure that they face the full wrath of the law.<\/p>\n

Muhammad Lawal Shehu, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, in a statement on Friday, noted that the attack was carried out with the sole intention of igniting ethnic and religious tension in Kaduna State and sabotaging government\u2019s efforts towards rebuilding trust in its communities.<\/p>\n

According to the Governor, \u201cI am deeply saddened by the attack on Fadan Kamatan Parish, Zangon Kataf.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis act of violence against innocent worshipers is not only an attack on the Catholic community, but an attempt to set our people against each other. We will not tolerate such acts of brutality and will go to any length within the law to bring the attackers to book.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Governor urged the security agencies to swiftly investigate the incident and ensure that the culprits were arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.<\/p>\n

He assured that his administration had taken proactive steps to restore peace in troubled communities by strengthening partnerships with security agencies and reinvigorating the Kaduna Vigilance Service (KADVS).<\/p>\n

In the same vein, the Council chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Francis Sani, expressed sadness over the incident.<\/p>\n
