Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Manchester United have announced Antony will not return to the club after the international break amid allegations of assault.<\/p>\n

Antony\u2019s ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, has claimed the footballer assaulted her on four occasions.<\/p>\n

Two more women in Brazil, Rayssa de Freitas and Ingrid Lana, also accused the 23-year-old of physical abuse.<\/p>\n

Antony was dropped by Brazil for their World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, and United have also towed the same line.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan Utd acknowledges the allegations made against Antony. He will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a club we condemn acts of violence and abuse\u201d.<\/p>\n

In his own statement, Antony said: \u201cI have agreed with United to take a period of absence while I address the allegations made against me.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was a mutual decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to reiterate my innocence of the things I have been accused of, I will fully cooperate with the police\u201d.<\/p>\n
