Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Following recent clashes among rival cult groups, the Ogun State Government has announced a seven-to-six curfew on Sagamu town.<\/p>\n

The government said all forms of movement in Sagamu would be restricted from 7pm to 6am.<\/p>\n

The government urged residents of Sagamu to abide by the restriction order pending when security agencies restored normalcy.<\/p>\n

This was made known in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Lekan Adeniran, on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is to notify residents of Sagamu and its environs of total restriction of human and vehicular movement as a way of taking firm control of the security architecture of the area and protect the lives of the people and their property,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

He implored residents of the Sagamu to cooperate with security agencies in order \u201cto restore normalcy and bring perpetrators of these dastardly acts to book.\u201d<\/p>\n

No fewer than 20 persons were said to have been killed by cultists between Saturday and the early hours of Monday in Sagamu.<\/p>\n
