Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Plateau State on Tuesday celebrated the victory of Governor Caleb Mutfwang, and other elected representatives, at election petition tribunals.<\/p>\n

Mutfwang led the enthusiastic crowd in a prayer and thanksgiving session at the Langfield Event Centre in Rayfield, Jos.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, he said, \u201cThe tribunal\u2019s dismissal of their petition on the grounds of lack of merit, validated my position.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to assured the people of Plateau that we will not disappoint them, and we urge them to have faith in this administration\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Governor also extended his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for maintaining neutrality in all state-related political activities, and described him as a true democrat.<\/p>\n

Speaking about unpaid teachers salaries which he inherited, Mutfwang assured the state\u2019s teachers that the government was addressing the issue and urged them to remain patient.<\/p>\n

A former governor of the state and elder statesman, Senator Jonah Jang,, expressed gratitude to God for the victory, which he dedicated to God and the people of Plateau State.<\/p>\n

Jang who was represented by the former Minister for Water Resources, Mrs Sarah Ochekpe, asserted that the resilience and strength of the PDP structures would remain \u201csteadfast and unbeatable\u201d.<\/p>\n
