Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State says he has nothing personal against his deputy, Philip Shaibu.<\/p>\n

Obaseki explained that his issue with Shaibu was straightforward.<\/p>\n

He disclosed this while addressing journalists on Friday.<\/p>\n

According to Obaseki: \u201cI have nothing personal against the Deputy Governor and never had. For me, the issues are very straightforward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Obaseki and Shaibu have been engaged in a fight over the governor\u2019s successor.<\/p>\n

Amid the face-off, Shaibu had publicly apologized to his principal.<\/p>\n

Obaseki accepted the public apology tendered by Shaibu, stressing that his deputy\u2019s action caused him personal discomfort.<\/p>\n
