{"id":96892,"date":"2023-10-04T22:00:30","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T21:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/tribunal-nasarawa-apc-rejects-verdict-vows-to-appeal-gov-sules-sacking"},"modified":"2023-10-05T00:26:15","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T23:26:15","slug":"tribunal-nasarawa-apc-rejects-verdict-vows-to-appeal-gov-sules-sacking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/tribunal-nasarawa-apc-rejects-verdict-vows-to-appeal-gov-sules-sacking","title":{"rendered":"Tribunal: Nasarawa APC rejects verdict, vows to appeal Gov Sule\u2019s sacking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasarawa State chapter, has rejected the tribunal judgement which nullified the election of its candidate, Governor Abdullahi Sule and declared David Umbugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the March 18th gubernatorial poll<\/p>\n<p>The chairman of the party, Aliyu Bello, while addressing a press conference on Wednesday, expressed the party\u2019s full support for Sule\u2019s intention to appeal the tribunal\u2019s judgment at the Court of Appeal.<\/p>\n<p>Bello maitained that, in the party\u2019s view, the tribunal had made a significant error in arriving at its decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is the candid and considered opinion of our great party, the APC, that the election tribunal erred in arriving at its decision,\u201d stated Bello.<\/p>\n<p>He further stressed that the party is in alignment with the dissenting judgement, pointing that it is based on law, facts and logic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are therefore in awe as to how the tribunal arrived at its decision,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The state party chairman also urged residents of Nasarawa State, especially the party\u2019s supporters, to remain calm and patient, assuring them that Sule would diligently pursue the appeal through legal channels.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
