Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A chieftain of the New Nigeria People\u2019s Party (NNPP), Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has insisted that attacks on his property by some political thugs will not deter him from speaking the truth.<\/p>\n

Oguntoyinbo, who was the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the NNPP in Ogun State, made the assertion on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Some hoodlums in the early hours of Tuesday invaded Bullion Hotel located in the Simawa Area of Ogun State.<\/p>\n

It was learnt that items worth millions of naira were carted by the suspected political thugs at the hotel.<\/p>\n

Oguntoyinbo, who doubles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the hotel in his reaction, said the attacks on his property will not deter him from telling the truth to the power that be.<\/p>\n

Oguntoyinbo, in a statement made available on Thursday called for an investigation into the persistent attacks on his hotel and his person.<\/p>\n

He said there was a similar attack on September 5, 2023, when a group of thugs, some disguised as soldiers, stormed the hotel.<\/p>\n

He maintained that CCTV footage shows how the men in Police uniforms were molesting, harassing and taking away valuables belonging to the hotel and the hotel security officers on duty.<\/p>\n

The NNPP chieftain said the hoodlums identified themselves as boys of Alowonle of Shimawa who is the Chairman of Motorcycle (Okada) riders in the Shimawa area in Ogun State.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey can never stop my action as the voice of the Nigerian youths and I will continue to work for the progress and welfare of the poor and the vulnerable youths in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Police officers that slapped the security guards while watching television should be penalized for such action. These boys are always gathering within the secondary school in Shimawa, initiating themselves into nefarious activities and terrorising innocent people in the town\u201d.<\/p>\n

The NNPP chieftain\u2019s legal adviser, Isaac Izunya also called on the commissioner of police in the state to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn order to save the integrity of the Police, I am calling on the Commissioner of Police in Ogun State and the Police Service Commission to investigate the alleged activities of some men in Police uniforms in the attack.<\/p>\n

\u201dWe gathered that some men in Police uniforms not only facilitated the thug\u2019s activities but also harassed two security men who were watching television by slapping them and pulling them up with their uniforms\u201d.<\/p>\n
