Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The National Examination Council, NECO, has released the June\/July 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination, SSCE, results, with 61.60% of students scoring five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics.<\/p>\n

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi made the announcement at NECO headquarters while briefing Journalists in Minna, Niger State.<\/p>\n

Prof. Wushishi disclosed that a total of 1,205,888 students registered for the examination. of that number, 1, 196, 985 sat for the exams, representing 616,398 males and 580,587 females.<\/p>\n

When compared to the results of the 2022 SSCE of 60.74%, the 2023 SSCE showed a decrease of 0.86% in the number of candidates who scored five credits and above in the two subjects.<\/p>\n

Recall that in 2021, 71.64% obtained five credits in the two major subjects.<\/p>\n
