Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Rampaging bandits have reportedly attacked and dislodged the Didango community in Taraba State.<\/p>\n

The community, which is located in Karim-Lamido Local Government Council of the state, was confirmed to have been attacked Wednesday night by unknown gunmen.<\/p>\n

Though sources from the area who spoke with DAILY POST, said no fewer than two people were killed, the Taraba State Police Command said only one casualty was recorded.<\/p>\n

Confirming the report on Thursday through the command spokesperson, Abdullahi Usman, the suspects, were said to have invaded the community in their larger numbers on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cWe received information that there was an attack on Didango village of Karim-Lamido by unknown gunmen last night, leaving one person dead and five others severely injured.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time of filing this report, two of the suspected gunmen were confirmed by the command to have been arrested in connection with the attacks.<\/p>\n

The command, which also confirmed that investigation has commenced into the attacks, added that the arrested suspects have begun to dish out useful information to the police.<\/p>\n
