Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>President Bola Tinubu on Thursday sacked the heads of some government agencies under the Ministry of Information.<\/p>\n

The Special Adviser to the President on Media Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced this in a statement.<\/p>\n

Those newly-appointed are:<\/p>\n

(1) National Orientation Agency (NOA) \u2014 Director-General\/CEO \u2014 Mr. Lanre Issa-Onilu<\/p>\n

(2) Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) \u2014 Director-General \/ CEO \u2014 Mr. Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos<\/p>\n

(3) Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) \u2014 Director-General \/ CEO \u2014 Dr. Muhammed Bulama<\/p>\n

(4) National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) \u2014 Director-General \/ CEO \u2014 Mr. Charles Ebuebu<\/p>\n

(5) Voice of Nigeria (VON) \u2014 Director-General \/ CEO \u2014 Mr. Jibrin Baba Ndace<\/p>\n

(6) Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) \u2014 Director-General \/ CEO \u2014 Dr. Lekan Fadolapo<\/p>\n

(7) News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) \u2014 Managing Director \/ CEO \u2014 Mr. Ali Muhammed Ali<\/p>\n

(8) Nigerian Press Council (NPC) \u2014 Executive Secretary \/ CEO \u2014 Mr. Dili Ezughah<\/p>\n

According to the statement, the president tasks the newly entrusted leadership in these important sub-sectors to innovate and create new opportunities for Nigerians to leverage upon through the effective reform of these key institutions of government which function to unify our people, reshape mindsets, and showcase this great nation to the rest of the world.<\/p>\n

The statement added that the above-listed appointments take immediate effect.<\/p>\n
