Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former Chief Judge of Anambra State, Peter Umeadi, has suggested the best option for resolving the case Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.<\/p>\n

Umeadi said Kanu\u2019s case should best be resolved politically and not legally.<\/p>\n

Addressing journalists on Sunday in Abuja, the 2023 presidential candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, said Kanu\u2019s release would end insecurity in the Southeast.<\/p>\n

According to Umeadi: \u201cWell, the issue of insecurity in the South East first of all, it has been said before and I agree, for now, it is a serious matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it is solved, then that is good. The problem, if it is not solved, then you begin to look for another reason why it is still there.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut for now everybody is saying it and I agree that the issue of Nnamdi Kanu should be treated as a political matter, not a legal matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo if he regains his freedom, perhaps that will be the end of what we are seeing in the South East now, perhaps.\u201d<\/p>\n
