– The APC in the state said that Governor El Rufai was not in any way insulting Bola Ahmed Tinubu<\/p>\n
– The ruling party in the state explained that the governor was only calling on voters to come out and vote for the candidates<\/p>\n

In defence of Governor Nasir El Rufai’s statement on how to retire Nigerian godfathers, the Kaduna state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, May 8, released a statement.<\/p>\n
The ruling party in the state, through its assistant publicity secretary, Salisu Tanko Wusono, said that Governor El Rufai only urged the electorate to come out in massive numbers to vote.<\/p>\n
Wusono said: \u201cWhile many meanings have been read into what the Kaduna state governor meant, it is imperative for us in the Kaduna state chapter of the APC to set the records straight, more so that the Lagos state chapter of the APC has also reacted albeit negatively.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Kaduna state chapter of the All Progressives Congress wish to identify with the Kaduna state governor and support his opinion on why every Nigerians should ensure massive participation in electoral process, because it is worrisome to see a situation where only one million Voters would turn out to vote out of acclaimed six \u2013million registered voters.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, we are of the opinion that what the Kaduna state governor said was just a clarion advice that all hands should be on deck to ensure that every registered voters in Nigeria are encouraged to come out to vote on election days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
