Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal Government says it has received 108 irregular Nigerian migrants stranded in neighbouring country, Niger Republic.<\/p>\n

The Southwest Zonal Coordinator, National Commission For Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Mr Alexander Oturu, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja.<\/p>\n

According to the commission, Nigerians received include 32 males, 29 females, 44 children and three infants.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe migrants were conveyed to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, camp where the NCFRMI and International Organisation for Migration (IOM) have a tripartite agreement to provide temporary shelter for the returnees.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore they are provided with onward transportation allowance to enable them get to their final destinations,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Oturu said the return was facilitated by the Nigerian Mission in Niamey and the IOM.<\/p>\n
