Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Mr Joseph Aloba, the father of deceased singer Ilerioluwa Aloba (aka Mohbad), told a coroner\u2019s court on Wednesday that the deceased had been living with singer Azeez Fashola (aka Naira Marley) since December 2019.<\/p>\n

Joseph testified during a coroner\u2019s inquest into the death of his son.<\/p>\n

The musician died on Sept. 12 and was buried the following day. He was 27 years old.<\/p>\n

His death has generated controversy, prompting the Lagos State Government to direct a coroner\u2019s inquest.<\/p>\n

The inquest began on Oct. 13 and is taking place at the Ikorodu Magistrate\u2019s Court in Lagos State.<\/p>\n

Joseph told the coroner, Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi, that he and his son lived together for 18 years.<\/p>\n

He said he did not know the exact house where his late son lived with Marley.<\/p>\n

He testified that his son left his house at the age of consent and began to assist Marley while embarking on his own career in music.<\/p>\n

Joseph said that he saw the deceased three days before his death.<\/p>\n

He added that he saw the deceased\u2019s casket only in a picture.<\/p>\n

According to him, his son assured him that he would be able to handle his dispute with Marley.<\/p>\n

Joseph testified that the deceased\u2019s landed property was in the custody of his mother-in-law, adding that the deceased often told him about his possessions held by his wife and her family.<\/p>\n

He claimed that Mohbad\u2019s wife put sleeping pills into his food when they lived with Marley.<\/p>\n
