Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Edo State Commissioner of Police Muhammed Dankwara decorated 11 newly promoted officers of the state police command on Thursday.<\/p>\n

He performed the ceremony on behalf of the acting Inspector General of Police, Egbetokun Olokayode.<\/p>\n

The newly promoted officers include a deputy commissioner of police, two assistant commissioners of police, five chief superintendents of police and three superintendents of police.<\/p>\n

Decorating the officers at the Edo State Police Command on Thursday, Dankwara said the police force found them worthy of promotion and warned them that it came with more responsibilities.<\/p>\n

He admonished the officers to be good ambassadors of the Force as well as guard their ranks jealously by doing the right things.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow that you have been promoted to a higher rank, you have to be more careful as you discharge your duties. The higher you go, the more you will be watched by other officers and members of the public,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
