Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Nigeria Premier Football League board have fined Katsina United one million naira and ordered the club to play their next home game behind closed doors.<\/p>\n

Katsina United were sanctioned for failing to provide adequate security during their matchday five encounter against Sunshine Stars last weekend.<\/p>\n

The Ikon Allah Boys won the encounter played at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium 3-2.<\/p>\n

Katsina United must pay the fine within 14 days or risk further sanctions. The club have 48 hours to accept or appeal the sanction.<\/p>\n

The NPFL board also ordered the club to put in place an effective matchday security plan to avoid a recurrence, which will lead to stiffer sanctions.<\/p>\n
